We have designed our site to be as simple and customer friendly as possible. Just browse our items 1, customise your order (all customisation options are given on the page for you) 2, checkout and pay 3. That's right, in only 3 easy steps you can select and create a beautiful personalised item of our jewellery.
If your item is personalised you will need to type in the name, word or engraving you would like into the white box provided. If your item has a photo engraved onto it you will be given the option to upload your photos, but you can also e-mial or send them to us.
When checking out, you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We accept debit and credit card payments via the website directly or over the phone and you can also pay via Paypal.

We offer a wide variety of options for your name necklace. If your item is 9ct or 18ct Gold Plated you can choose for the base metal to be Brass or 0.925 Solid Sterling Silver. The precious metals we offer are;
1. 0.925 Solid Sterling Silver (this is the Standard Grade Sterling Silver)
2. 0.931 Solid Sterling Silver (this is a Higher Grade Anti-Tarnish Sterling Silver called Reflections)
Reflections is a Silver alloy with all of the benefits and less of the drawbacks associated with ordinary Sterling Silver. Its unique chemical composition, with less copper and increased tin, zinc and germanium, gives it superior tarnish-resistance.
The same composition also makes Reflections Silver more resistant to firescale, helping you reduce the oxidisation and stubborn thermal staining that can so easily ruin a piece of work.
Softness isn’t appealing in a piece of jewellery. Reflections hardens more rapidly than Sterling Silver when cold worked, and with the application of heat, can be hardened to greater levels than is possible with Sterling Silver.

5. Rhodium Plated
Rhodium Plating is the ultimate in white metal plating. it is hard wearing and will protect and stop you necklace from tarnishing, keeping it super shiny for longer. (nearly all quality white gold jewellery is plated with rhodium to give a platinum like finish)
6. Platinum Plated
The Brass and Sterling Silver come in 3 thicknesses; 0.75mm, 0.9mm and 1.1mm. The 9ct Solid Gold comes in 2 thicknesses; 0.8mm and 1mm.

Our Postal & Dispatch Options
Please note that the below are our standard dispatch options and times, but during busy times of the year like Christmas and Valentines Day dispatch times may be slightly longer.
We offer several postage options, which you can see below. Dispatch days are working days and do not include the day of purchase.
All chains are posted within 1 working day and you can choose from the same delivery options as below.
UK First Class & UK Recorded Delivery - 3 Day Dispatch (If you purchase on a Monday your item would be posted out on or before the Thursday). Recorded Delivery is the same time scale as First Class it just has to be signed for so is more secure.
UK Special Delivery - 3 Day Dispatch (If you purchase on a Monday your item would be posted out on or before the Thursday and you would receive it before 1pm on the Friday)
UK PRIORITY Service - This is our best option and your item will be delivered to a UK address within 3 working days not including the order date. (Most PRIORITY Service items are sent out the next working day after the order is placed, but in some cases it can take 2 working days)
International Air Mail - 3 Day Dispatch (If you purchase on a Monday your item would be posted out on or before the Thursday)
International Signed For - 1 to 2 Day Dispatch (Most PRIORITY Service items are sent out the next working day after the order is placed, but in some cases it can take 2 working days)
Please bear in mind that we do not have any control over Royal Mail and how long it takes them to deliver items unless it is Special Delivery to the UK. If you need something for a certain date, please see Question 4 below.

All items sent within the UK and Ireland via Royal Mail First Class, Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or Royal Mail Special Delivery. Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or Royal Mail Special Delivery will need to be signed for. All items sent outside the UK will be sent by International Air Mail or International Signed For.
Your satisfaction is our primary goal when we produce any item. All items are custom made by us in the UK and we take care to ensure the highest quality of work and materials.
Please ensure correct that you take care to spell the wording correctly as we will only replace items if the mistake was made by us.
Silver tarnishing is a natural process due to Hydrogen Sulfide in any material coming into contact with it as well as oils in the skin and some foods. For more information on how silver tarnishes and what can affect it you can do a simple search on Google.
To clean your silver items we recommend Goddard's Silver Dip, which is available in most supermarkets for less than £3.

Q1) I have a problem with the item I received, what should I do?
If it is an error that we have made or the item is faulty will will exchange it for you.
Please return the item(s) to us ensuring that you include a note explaining the issue, together with your full name and adderss together with your order number to avoid any delays. We advise all items to be sent back to us to be signed for.
Q2) What is your refund/exchange policy?
Due to the nature of our personalised items, such as name necklaces or engraved items we do not offer refunds or exchanges on them. If there is a problem with the item, please refer to Question 1 above.
With all our other items we offer a full refund not including the original posting cost, within 14 days of purchase, upon receipt of the item back.
All items being remust be returned in their original condition and packaging
Q3) How long will it take for me to receive my item?
Our workroom is open 7 days a week, but we only post Monday to Friday. Your item will be made and dispatched according to your chosen postal option. You can see details of the postal & dispatch options we offer above.
Q4) I need my item by a certain date, what should I do?
Please select the PRIORITY Service delivery option and then call us on 020 8953 7833 or use the contact us link above to let us know the date you need it by. Please bear in mind that our office and workshop are not at the same location, so you cannot order a name necklace to be sent out the same day or over the weekend, but most engraving can be done the same day if ordered before 12pm.
Q5) I haven't received my item, what should I do?
Please call us on 020 8953 7833 or use the contact us link above so we can look into it for you. Please make sure you have your order number handy. We will allow Royal Mail three weeks to deliver your item (except for items sent Special Delivery and PRIORITY Service) and if after this time it has not been delivered to you we will send a replacement.

All our items are made by us, to order, in our UK workroom.

Q9) I've made a mistake on my order, what should I do?
If you have made a mistake in your order please call us on 020 8953 7833 or use the contact us link above immediately so that we can correct the mistake.
Ordering - When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
We fully comply with all the regulations set by Trading Standards.
We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
Shipping - You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
Back Orders - If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges - All orders are subject to 20% VAT, which is included.
Credit Card Security - When the order is placed on our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our merchant account. They are not held in clear text on any web site or by us.
Christopher James of London Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfillment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
